Design & Social Enterprise Case Series
Between 2009-2012, the Winterhouse Institute collaborated with the Yale School of Management's Program on Social Enterprise to produce the Design & Social Enterprise Case Series. With support from the Rockefeller Foundation, Winterhouse and Yale produced detailed case studies to document best practices in design and social enterprise, focusing on each of the following four organizations:
in 2011, the winterhouse institute began work on a bibliography OF works AT THE INTERSECTION OF DESIGN AND SOCIAL IMPACT, intended as a resource for educators, students and practitioners. The bibliography is a co-created and evolving project.

The cases are excellent teaching and research tools for educators, students and practitioners. Each detailed case includes extensive historical narrative and analysis, video interviews and perspectives, as well as links to corresponding documents and further resources.
The cases are available in an online case study model to enable broad dissemination, sharing and use. The text and videos in the cases are published under a Creative Commons License for free noncommercial use, and may be used, disseminated and taught without fees or permission. However, documents or external web sites linked to in the cases may be covered by their own terms of usage as indicated on the website or document in question. In order to track usage of the cases, please report use and share curriculum context with us here (please indicate "Case Studies" in the subject line).

Harish Hande founded SELCO to provide solar electricity for lighting and power to India's poor. Having attained a measure of success, he must determine the future of his enterprise.

How can Teach for America expand its successful model of education beyond the United States? (2012)
By their November 2011 annual conference in Mumbai, India, Teach For All’s network consisted of 23 national partner organizations. Network members came from all over the globe and represented an eclectic group of countries. The one thing uniting the network was a commitment to building an organization similar to Teach For America in their respective countries.
